It was a particularly busy period for the Port of Southampton between the end of 2007 and early 2008, Solent Stevedores was called upon and successfully completed the evacuation of over 12,000 empty containers using the Port’s 100 Tonne harbour mobile crane.
Following this success, Solent Stevedores was chosen to provide stevedoring services to Huelin Renouf when the company relocated their Channel Island container operation from Portsmouth to Southampton in January 2009.

Working out of a brand new dedicated terminal at Berth 45 in the Eastern Docks, the operation has proved to be a great success leading to the recent introduction of a second vessel and an expanded five day per week service.
